Building the entrepreneurial university.

The university wanted to encourage and enable staff and researchers to see more of their science and technology make it through to market.

We organised and delivered a series of seminars, where we introduced staff and researchers to the principles of technology commercialisation and running a business.

We illustrated these with case study examples from our work, and then worked with them on their own projects as they clarified how to take them forward.

At the end of the series of seminars, the staff and researchers presented their projects to a ‘Dragon’s Den’ committee who recommended a number of them to receive funding from the university’s ‘pump priming’ fund.
